The City Attorney is not for use by private citizens
The City of Springville wants to make it clear that the City Attorney should not be responding to direct requests from citizens by phone, email, postal mail, or other forms which result in billable hours for the City.
Further, the City of Springville wishes to let it be known that no conflict of interest or appearance of conflict of interest exist by direct communication with citizens without City of Springville’s approval.
If unauthorized communication occurs which causes billable time by the City Attorney, the City Attorney is directed to notify the City of the amount of time and any costs associated with such communication. The fees incurred by unauthorized contact of the City Attorney by citizens will result in an invoice to that citizen from the City.
By Resolution No. 17-2017, a Public Hearing will be held on September 18th, 2017.
The City of Springville wishes to vacate the public alley between 151 5th Street and 119 5th Street.
Official notice will be published in the Cedar Rapids Gazette between 4 and 20 days prior to the hearing.
